Job Opening: Process Operator — Moersleutel Craft Brewery

At Moersleutel Craft Brewery everything revolves around precision, craftsmanship and quality.

We’re looking for a Process Operator who enjoys keeping production running smoothly and who takes ownership of the final outcome. You don’t need to be a beer expert—if you have strong technical insight, grasp processes quickly and like working in a modern production environment you’ll fit right in.

What you’ll do

In this role you’re responsible for the heart of our production. You ensure the journey from raw materials to finished product runs smoothly, safely and to the highest quality standards. Concretely, this means:

  • Operating and monitoring equipment: Set up production runs, monitor process parameters and intervene where needed to guarantee stable and efficient operations.
  • Start-ups, changeovers and shutdowns: Prepare production, execute change-overs and make sure everything is ready for the next batch.
  • Quality checks: Perform measurements (e.g., pH, temperature, O₂/CO₂) and record results according to our quality procedures.
  • Cleaning and CIP/SIP processes: Keep tanks, lines and equipment hygienic and compliant with guidelines.
  • First-line maintenance: Resolve minor issues yourself and promptly escalate larger problems to the technical team.
  • Process improvement: Proactively contribute ideas to make our processes smarter, more efficient or more sustainable.

What you bring

We’re primarily looking for a hands-on operator who shows ownership. You recognize yourself in the following:

  • At least 2 years of experience as a (process) operator in a production environment (e.g., food, chemical, pharma or manufacturing)
  • or an MBO-3 or MBO-4 diploma (Dutch vocational level) in process technology, food technology, mechatronics or similar
  • Technical insight and the ability to read, interpret and translate process data into actions
  • Accurate, hygienic and safe working style; familiarity with quality standards such as HACCP or GMP
  • Practical mindset, takes initiative and enjoys teamwork
  • Willingness to work day and evening shifts
  • Sufficient command of Dutch and English to follow instructions and record data

Why work at Moersleutel?

  • Tangible impact: Your work directly shows up in a product loved by craft beer fans worldwide.
  • Growth opportunities: We invest in your development with courses, trainings and career paths (e.g., toward Senior Operator or Team Lead).
  • Modern environment: Work with high-quality equipment in a growing and innovative craft brewery.
  • Great team culture: A small, close-knit team with short lines and a down-to-earth mentality.
  • Strong benefits: Competitive salary based on experience, pension plan, staff beer allowance and workwear.

Practical info

  • Location: Alkmaar region
  • Employment: 32–40 hours
  • Start date: By agreement
  • Onboarding: No beer experience? No problem.
