Those of you who’ve been with our Family for a while now, might remember that we used to release special wild fermented ales, from time to time. This is not part of the Moersleutel Craft Brewery, but of Zomerdijk Brewing & Blending.
These beers started as experiments, then they became ways for us to celebrate the Zomerdijk youngsters that were born, or honor the dear people in our life.
Last summer, Pim and Randjena welcomed their daughter Lauren. Last december, just before Christmas, Tom and Rowie welcomed their second child, Hugo.
Pim’s son Thijmen is a bit older now, and we weren’t brewing yet at the time of his birth, but it felt right to name a beer in honor of him too.
This weekend we’re releasing three beautiful different wild fermented ales, aged for 26 months in Bordeaux barrels.
