Webshop questions

What's the status of my order?

Once you have placed your order, you get a confirmation email to track the status of your order. Once your order is shipped we will send you another email to confirm you the expected delivery date as well as the link to track your order (when the delivery method allows it).

Additionally, you can track the status of your order from your “order history” section on your account page on the website.

Can I change my order?

We can only change orders that have not been processed for shipping yet. Once your order is under the status “preparing for shipping”, “shipping” or “delivered”, then we cannot accept any edits to your order.

Payment options & Beerpoints

You can purchase on our website using iDEAL, Credit card (Visa, Mastercard etc.), Bancontact.
We additionally offer support for Paypal and bank transfer, but those do not work for subscription based products like The Guild.
You can choose these payment methods at checkout.

If you create an account on our webshop, you can collect “Beer points” with every order that you complete.
You can use these Beer points to get a discount on future orders. Make sure you are logged in to your account when going to checkout to complete a purchase. You'll see the banner which offers to use your beerpoints for discount.


Biercheque (NL only)

Heb je een Biercheque en wil je jouw bieren hier mee afrekenen? Hoe werkt dat? Dit kan in het veld “afrekenen”. Dit is het veld waar je terecht komt nadat je je verzendgegevens hebt ingevuld. De optie “Biercheque” staat tussen de lijst met betaalmethodes. Dit is in het veldje “afrekenen” welke verschijnt na het winkelmandje. Hier krijg je de mogelijkheid om jouw 19-cijferige code van de Biercheque in te voeren tezamen met de internet verificatie code (op het pasje vind je deze onder de kraslaag). Het bedrag van jouw Biercheque zal worden verrekend in jouw winkelwagentje en het eventueel resterende saldo blijft actief. Heb je minder saldo dan de waarde van jouw bestelling dan kun je dit gemakkelijk via een andere betaalmethode bijbetalen.

What if I'm not at home when my package is delivered?

When your order is on it's way to you, you will receive an email with the expected delivery date. If you’re not home at that time, you have a few options:

Option 1:
If the driver isn't out for delivery yet, you can chance your delivery to a nearby DHL service point (also known as a DHL point or pick-up location). Packages will be held there for 3-7 days.

Option 2:
Opt for delivery to a neighbor (if they’re okay with it, of course).

Option 3:
If you're not home, the driver may return later. Sometimes, DHL will select a pick-up point near you where you can collect your package the next day.

Note: Once your package is shipped, we unfortunately have no control over the delivery. For questions about delivery, please check the frequently asked questions on the DHL website.

Do you have a physical store?

Yes, you can come and visit our webshop during weekdays at Fluorietweg 12d in Alkmaar.

You can also choose to pick up your webshop order there.

Please note: this is a different address than our brewery.

Something is wrong with my order / I have a complaint

Share your ordernumer and state your complaint detailed. Please attach photos if your order came in damaged.

We’ll contact you as soon as we can.

Do you accept returns?

We almost can’t believe it, but if you’re not fully satisfied with your order, or if there’s something wrong, you can return it.

Please notify your return by sending an email to webshop@moersleutel.com beforehand. We accept returns that are within the following conditions:
The item(s) are returned within 14 days after the package was received.
The item(s) are in the same condition as you received them.
The item(s) are not worn, washed or used.
If the previous conditions are met you can send your order back to: Brouwerij De Moersleutel Diamantweg 9, 1812 NH Alkmaar, The Netherlands

Shipping costs for returned packages are not covered.

Guild Getting Started

How do I sign up?

First you chose your payment frequency. Monthly (two monthly payments complete one Guild Box) or per year.

Add the frequency of your choice to your cart and continue to checkout. Fill in your details.
You'll see a one-time payment of 0,01 (necessary to connect your bank details to our recurring payment system) and a recurring price.
The recurring price of your subscription will be charged at the end of the month.
When your registration is completed and succesful you will receive an email. We're happy to welcome to the Guild!

Shipment schedule

We engineer 6 Guild boxes a year and send them out at the end of every even month. Our current shipment planning is:

End of February
End of April
End of June
End of August
End of October
End of December*
* Instead of a Guild Box in December you will receive our Advent Calendar in November

When we start preparing the shipping labels and boxes, you will receive a notification from DHL with your track & trace code.
It may take a while before your package starts moving, because there is some time between our handling and shipping of DHL.

First box

We ship six times a year. You will receive your first box in the month after your first payment cycle has been completed. We collect at the 26th of the month.

So for example:

When you register in July, you will receive Guild Box at the end of August. When you sign in in August or September, you will receive Guild Box at the end of October. Sometimes we’re able to make manual adjustments so you can receive the earliest Box too. Send us an email at guild@moersleutel.com and we’ll see if that’s still possible.
Please note you then will have to pay that Box in full (instead of having monthly payment options). After receiving that Box you will resume to your chosen payment cycle.

Planned dates for monthly payments

Our current payment collection planning for Guild Members that chose to pay per month is every end of the month (around the 26th, but it can take a few days).
Two monthly payments complete one Guild Box.

Guild Exclusives deals

All Guild members have access to exclusive news and products our our website. For instance the Indulgences, these will be available as Guild exclusives. Our Exclusive Guild beers in cans, like the EUREKA series, are first released into The Guild for Guild members to enjoy first. After release in The Guild the small quantity that is left will go into the Guild Exclusives and available for Guild members for repurchase. If after that there is still stock left, we will sell the rest of it in our regular shop.

You can access the Guild member area by logging in to your account that’s connected to your Guild membership. Navigate to the menu item that says ‘The Guild’ and find ‘Guild Member Area‘ underneath. Go there and you will discover our Guild Exclusive products.

ZB&B Wild Ales

Our wild ales, which we release under the Zomerdijk Brewing & Blending brand, will not come in the regular Guild boxes because of the small batch sizes (approx. 900 bottles).
They will become Guild Exclusives and available with discount for Guild members in the first 24 hours of release. After that they will go into our regular shop for everyone to purchase.

New address

You can easily change your Guild shipping address in your account.

Log in
You’ll see:
Hi yourname (not yourname? Log out)
From your account dashboard you can view your recent orders, manage your shipping and billing addresses, and edit your password and account details.
Click: “manage your shipping and billing addresses” and change your shipping address and save.

Please make sure to process changes to your subscription details, such as shipping address, before the 10th of the month.
Changes made after the 10th of the scheduled shipment may not take effect until the following shipment.

Shipment to the UK

You’re probably aware of the changing VAT and import regulations in the UK. You can check out this link for more information.

  • Starting August 1st 2023, we’ve removed Dutch VAT from your subscription price. You will now pay €100 per Box.

  • For members who pay their subscription fee per month, you will pay €50 per month.

  • Once your Guild Box reaches customs in the UK, they will charge you VAT (20%), excise duty, and a clearance fee. This should amount to approximately £51.


  • We put stickers on your parcel that should help customs avoid charging you more. If they do, please contact us at guild@moersleutel.com.



    We’re sorry to see these changes and have explored several options to minimize the impact of these new UK regulations on you.
    Unfortunately, these adjustments are a result of recent changes in UK government policies, and we are doing our best to adapt and support you as a Guild member.

    Shipping Costs

    Guild Members that live in the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany all enjoy free shipping.

    For other countries we need to ask a little bit of shipping costs to get the package to you. This will be charged on top of the regular membership fee. See the chart below for prices per region.
    The ‘per year’ shows pricing for 6 shipments.

    Guild Account status

    Logging in

    If you’ve had an account before but can't log in, please create a new password.
    Simply click “forget password” and follow the steps provided.

    If the system doesn’t recognize your emailaddress or if you’ve never had an webshop account before, simply register a webshop account. This doesn’t have influence on your subscription.

    Please do make sure to use the same email address as used when signing in to the Guild.

    Change of payment frequency

    1. Log in
    2. Go to Subscriptions
    3. Click view
    4. Scroll down to Product, and click: Switch subscription.
    5. Follow the instructions provided.

    Change of bank

    Here are the steps you should take:

    1. Login on our website moersleutel.com/my-account/
    2. In your Account, click on the tab Subscriptions and click on your active subscription (‘# number’)
    3. Scroll down till you see the Change Payment Method button
    4. Click on the button and follow the steps in the payment portal to switch your payment, it will ask for a 1-cent payment to confirm the mandate on your new payment method.
    5. When successfully done you will be sent back to the Subscription page.

    Cancel / Pause

    Feel like your Guild adventure came to an end?

    We’re sorry to see you go! You can easily cancel by contacting our support: guild@moersleutel.com

    Please note: make sure to unsubscribe before the 10th of the month to cancel straight away. If you unsubscribe later, payment may already be in process and you will still receive the first upcoming Box. Your cancelation will take action after that payment cycle.

    General questions

    Can I visit the brewery?

    Thank you so much for your interest!
    At the moment, we’re hard at work and unable to accommodate walk-ins—our apologies! If you have an appointment scheduled with one of us, we’ll of course be happy to welcome you.

    Once a month, our brewery is open for visits during guided tours. These tours usually fill up quickly, so be sure to act fast.

    We don’t sell beer at the brewery.
