This policy serves as Moersleutel Craft Brewery’s documented age verification procedure as required under Dutch legislation for the online sale of alcoholic beverages.

At Moersleutel Craft Brewery, we take responsible alcohol sales seriously. We only sell alcoholic beverages to customers aged 18 years or older.

This policy explains how we verify the legal drinking age when selling alcohol through our webshop. It describes the measures we take before, during and after an order is placed to ensure compliance with Dutch legislation on distance sales of alcohol.

This policy is reviewed regularly and updated whenever our procedures or applicable legislation change.

Our Commitment

We are committed to ensuring that alcoholic beverages are only sold and delivered to adults who meet the legal minimum age.

To achieve this, we perform age verification throughout the entire purchasing process:

• Before entering our webshop
• During checkout
• Upon delivery in the Netherlands
• When collecting an order at our brewery

1. Website Access

Visitors entering our webshop are asked to confirm that they are at least 18 years old before accessing the website.

This age gate serves as the first step in preventing underage purchases.

2. Checkout Verification

Before completing an order, customers must confirm that they are 18 years of age or older.

Our webshop clearly states that alcoholic beverages may only be purchased by adults who meet the legal drinking age.

Customers are also informed that age verification will take place again when the order is delivered or collected.

3. Age Verification Upon Delivery

All orders containing alcoholic beverages are delivered with mandatory age verification.

For deliveries within the Netherlands, ourOur delivery partner will verify that the recipient is at least 18 years old before handing over the order. When necessary, the recipient may be asked to present a valid identification document.

Alcoholic beverages will only be delivered when:

• the recipient is at least 18 years old;
• the recipient’s age can be verified.

If the legal age requirement cannot be verified, the order will not be handed over.

4. Brewery Pick-Up

Customers collecting an order at our brewery are also subject to age verification.

Our staff may request a valid ID before releasing an order containing alcoholic beverages.

Orders will only be handed over to customers who are at least 18 years old.

5. Delivery Procedure

Because every alcohol delivery requires an age check:

• orders containing alcohol cannot be left unattended;
• the recipient must be present to receive the order;
• age verification must be completed before the package is handed over.

If your order has been left unattended or delivered without an age check, please contact us at [email protected]. We take these reports seriously and will address them with the delivery partner.

6. Responsibilities

We are responsible for:

• clearly communicating the legal drinking age;
• implementing age verification during the ordering process;
• working with delivery partners that support age verification upon delivery;
• regularly reviewing and improving our procedures.

Customer

By placing an order, the customer confirms that:

• they are at least 18 years old;
• the order will be received by someone who is at least 18 years old.

7. Policy Review

This Age Verification Policy is reviewed periodically and updated whenever:

• our internal procedures change;
• applicable legislation changes;
• improvements to our verification process are implemented.
