Sturdy stackable glass with engineering design. Please note: we advice washing by hand to keep the best qualityA "vaasje"is a fully tapered beer glass. It has been used since the 1980s mainly for lager and other bottom-fermenting beers, but in earlier days also for many other types of beer. There are vases in all sorts of different capacity sizes but in the Dutch and Belgian hospitality industry 25 cl vases are the most common. The name vase probably refers to the basic shape of a completely different type of container, namely a flower vase. It has not yet been sufficiently researched when the name vase came into use. What is clear is that this model is popularly known by many other names. In many Dutch municipalities (but precisely not in Amsterdam) people also speak of an Amsterdammertje. Out of urban envy, this latter term is boycotted by Rotterdammers. On the contrary, they call this glass a Rotterdammertje. Some beer glass collectors call this glass a bucket, a designation that refers to the basic shape of a bucket (without handle or handle). In Flanders, this glass model is usually referred to as boerke and in Flemish (and Dutch) Limburg people also speak of rendsje. The latter designation refers to the gold-colored rim common to these glasses.
