Number five of the Six Years Anniversary beers is for Margreet (a.k.a. Momager).

Margreet may be discreet but plays a crucial role at the company. Mom of the four founding brothers, and at work in the brewery and Zomerdijk Engineering! Most of the time typing away behind a desk or she’s taking care of your webshop orders. Other days she’s out in the world, pouring Moersleutel beers in your glasses at beer festivals.
To be honest, sometimes we don’t really know what she’s up to. But one thing is for sure! She can do a hundred things at once. Whilst singing to the radio. 🤷

She shows concentrated knowledge as much as a freeze distilled beer shows characters and flavor. Didn’t we warn you? Beer is always on our minds! 👹 To us it seemed totally fitting that Margreet would get a freeze distilled stout in her name. We took a look at her favorite dessert, Red Velvet, gave it a brewing twist, and here we are.

Gentle and tastefully layered. Beautiful chocolate and the smallest hint of sour cherries. 🍒

As far as you could call a 16% freeze distilled stout refreshing, this actually comes close to that! Some of the brewers have whispered this is their favorite of the Six Years Anniversary brews. Don’t tell the other family members! 😬

Earlier today, we asked Margreet if she was up for a first impression tasting of the beer in her honor. She had just spent long days filling Guild Boxes, while keeping the email inbox at bay. ✨Superpowers.✨
Of course she was up for a tasting! Her conclusion: “Lekker! Lekker pittig, lekker sterk. Niet om te atten!” 😂
